| I am pleased to inform everyone that a new version of KnockSpy is now available for download through our website here New features in v1.1 include Consult Active Tests, DTC error code monitoring and O2 sensor self learn reset. Active Tests:
- set coolant temp
- set fueling +/- 25%
- set timing +/- 10 degrees
- set IACV opening %
- set actuator on/off (FICD, fuel pump relay, PRVR, AAC, EGR, AIV, VTC, fan low, fan high)
- cylinder cut (power balance test) The DTC error code checking features real-time monitoring that constantly reads error codes and (optionally) beeps when a new error occurs. This is useful for tracking down intermittent connectivity issues as it allows you to wiggle connectors/wiring until you hear a beep (indicating an error code was just thrown). I have also been in contact with Matt at Nistune about compatibility between Nistune hardware boards and KnockSpy. The Nistune firmware overwrites part of the standard Consult protocol that is used by KnockSpy (and other Consult based software), resulting in incompatibility. He was kind enough to share details on the tuning protocol, so it should be relatively straighforward to implement in KnockSpy. Look forward to Nistune hardware compatibility in a future version!
